| The Folk Research Centre stages its annual cultural summer program |

Common Entrance students are again being targeted for educational program being organized by the Folk Research Center and its partner. The annual event is expected to expose students to their rich St Lucian cultural heritage. It is also expected to increase their knowledge and awareness and create a strong foundation in cultural education before entering secondary school. The FRC hopes the sessions will help to instill in the participants a lifelong interest in, and appreciation of their rich cultural inheritance. The program is conducted in a lively interactive manner as facilitators focus on specific and distinctive aspects of St Lucian culture including language, folk tales, music, dances and fashion Some 900 primary school students are expected to benefit from this educational experience. |
