The Leader of the Opposition has reiterated the categorical position that that the United Workers Party has absolutely no reservation about the conduct of so called investigations by the government into the dealings of the UWP regime.

Stephenson King has encouraged that the completion and dissemination of the findings be made public as soon as possible. He however says, it is clear that such declarations are only calculated to intimidate and detract from the issues of bigger concern to the people of Saint Lucia at this time.

Mr.King has instead suggested that the Prime Minister extend his efforts at disclosure and transparency beyond the limitation of “investigations” into the last Administration.

Prime Minister Anthony he says needs to provide full disclosure and accountability to Saint Lucians on the Grynberg Scandal which he continues to treat with marked silence and disdain. Dr. Anthony should explain why he has refused to address the nation to explain his role in this scandal.

The Prime Minister should also provide Saint Lucians with disclosure on efforts by his Administration to grant promotions and move close relatives of Government Ministers into more lucrative jobs such as Permanent Secretaries and other senior jobs which in some cases they are not qualified for.
