| An Anse Ger Student is in critical condition after a freak accident |

A teenage boy remains hospitalized after sustaining a head injury. On Wednesday 13th June, about 10:45am, Officers attached to the Micoud Police Station responded to an incident which occurred at Anse Ger, Desruisseaux. Information received is that 16 year old Shervon Poleon of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort, a student of the Anse Ger Secondary School was walking along the Anse Ger road when he slipped and fell. At the time he was said to have been carrying a piece of metal which got lodged into the back of his head. Personnel at the Fire Department were summoned and the victim was subsequently transported to St. Jude’s Hospital via ambulance. He was treated and is currently admitted in a critical condition. Investigation into the matter is continuing.
